MAKE IT UP

No, seriously, just make shit up. That's what I do.

Makeup has been around for about 7,000 years. Give or take, i'm no expert. Over time different techniques of application have been invented and different trends have emerged. For me, makeup is a fun way to experiment with different looks and every day when I go to get ready I get to decide who I want to be for the day. Growing up I was never THAT into makeup, but then I saw this wonderful show called Euphoria. If you have never seen it, you should. Not only is the story line heart wrenching, but the fashion is iconic, the characters are all beautiful, and the makeup is just W O W. Ever since I saw the show something in my mind changed. I began to play around more with color, textures, shapes and realized life is too short to have boring makeup everyday.

The power of makeup truly astonishes me sometimes as I can literally watch myself transform into a whole new person while I get ready. My inspiration sometimes comes from other artists, and sometimes I stalk social media in search of new ideas. But then, I get sucked into a wormhole of influencers, and I begin to think I'm not good enough, or pretty enough, or that I NEED makeup to be beautiful. As I stalk all of these beautiful people online I start to feel as though, I too, need to be just like them, but then I remember that in fact, I don't. I don't need makeup but it sure is fun. Makeup is used as a way to express myself not to define who I am and it should not define who you are either, because believe it or not, what people say is true: it's what's on the inside that matters. So yeah, makeup is great and all, but don't forget that it's not everything!!

I just think it's fun. OKAY. Now here are some of my looks for you to look at.

This just reminds me of the song "What I Know Now" from Beetlejuice the musical because I made a TikTok about it.

Marina once said "wear your heart on your cheek" so I did.

I asked for makeup ideas and someone said RITZ so I delivered. Ritz crackers sponsor me.

Inspired by Maddy from Euphoria.

Rhinestones are a simple way to elevate a look. Just stick them on with eyelash glue and you're ready to go.

Feelin like Jade from Bratz.

I know I said I love color, but I also like black.

"ay como me chocan estos lugares." That's my attitude w this makeup.

Frida Kahlo my biggest inspiration.

Just some flowers.

I had high hopes for this makeup look, and it came out okay, but like, kind of underwhelming. Glitter freckles, however, are very cute and I will be trying again.

When I first started doing my eyeliner in eighth grade it was shit; and now look at how sharp. Practice ladies and gents.

Because a basic wing will just not suffice.

Same look as above but muted.

She really thinks she's a model. Someone come get her.

So natural it looks like you're not even wearing any makeup.

Natural glam. (and that's on oxymoron)

One of my few attempts at a cut crease.
And last but not least,
Do you ever just...
